Iwi Membership Registration

Tapuika Iwi Authority and the Tapuika Fisheries Trust share the responsibility of developing and maintaining a Registration of members who affiliate to Tapuika.

Descendants of Tapuika are invited to register as a member by completing an Enrolment Form. It is important to register all whanau members, including every descendant child. Parents can register their children under the age of 18 years however persons over 18 years must complete and sign their own form. Registration will enable you to stand as a Trustee for elections, cast votes at elections, cast votes for special resolutions, apply for education grants and apply further as new initiatives develop.

Our Kaunihera Koeke have a group of 4 of its members who sit on a Validation Committee to receive and validate new member enrolments.  This is done by verifying the whakapapa of the members as being a descendant of Tapuika.

Gone No Address | Keeping the Register up to date

Our registration database can go quickly out of date if you change or phone number, email address or home address.

You can check whether we need your updated details by checking for your name on the list of Tapuika GNAs (PDF download). For any such changes, fill in the Update Form or contact us.

We're switching to YourIwi

YourIwi is an online iwi management platform that Tapuika are migrating to over the coming months.

A YourIwi membership profile will allow you to:

  • update your details
  • apply for grants
  • view pānui
  • view events
  • send us a direct message

More information coming soon.
